Abs

True. Is it your light? Could be a ABS module VIN is mismatched with the ECM VIN. Have you replaced your ECM lately?

Take the bulb out of the dash behind the ABS symbol.

I didn't think vin's had to match between the two, but I maybe wrong.

That has been debated a hundred times. All I know is that when I replaced the ECM in my '02, the ABS light came on. I called the vendor I bought it from and they didn't program my VIN in it. I sent it back and they put my VIN in the ECM and the light went off and never came back on. I'm a believer in it since I've seen it first hand...but there are still folks that say it isn't so. $.02
 
The reason why I want to disable is because its rear only antilock and as soon as the rears do lock antilock kicks in and it's like u let your foot off the pedal mainly on wet roads it sucks. I unplugged abs fuse but it takes out speedo with it. Just looking for away to disable easily. Thx
