Alabama cylinder head quality?????

well it seems i have gotten overzellus with my porting and took my brand new fresh engine out for a run and blew the exhaust manifold off the head (with the runners still attached) and am needing a new head....how are the alabama cylinder head repops? i know the vortec sbc and cavileer heads they cast are GREAT! but has anyone ever used on on a 12v i meen they are only 485 brand new ready to go complete so what is the concensus? thanks a ton dj
 
Got one, it has valve seats. Other than that, it is fine.
 
how are the valves? i kow i am going to use my springs but should i use my valves too?
 
got one one mine.
one of the injector holes wasn't machined deep enough where the little ball goes in to keep injector from turning. I just dremel tooled it a little deeper.
The freeze plugs suck. Little cheezy ones that blew out on me. Get some real ones and put in it.
Mine had top hat style stem seals, but the head wasn't machined for them, they were ripped into at about 25k
Other than that, it's been cherry.
