There`s my aluminum selfmade waterpump. Old cast iron pump also in the pictures.
The mechanical sealing is original Cummins mainly, sligtly remachined and modifyid because running 1mm smaller shaft. Bearings are two angular bearings installed to X-position and ball bearing on the impeller side.
I run it 25% slower than stock does, and I don´t think that temperature is an issue, even if towing? That will be tested on summer temps, with trailer...

Only few pounds lighter than stock but everything counts, and I like aluminum parts....

Also made aluminum rocker shaft mounts(or what do you call them?) and lihgten the engine few pounds....

(Trying to get 10 post together to be able to send private messages, so I´ll put some pics for you)

Have you tried head studs torque to 150ftlb on that aluminum?

from phone

No I haven`t, using just conventional 125ftlbs. No problems with that torque.
Maybe harder aluminum(9000-serie?) have to be used if using 150ftlb?
What material is Indy aluminum head?
