I know it's not my usual flavor, but I have always done fair on 401 AMC parts.
Killed a 1974 Wagoneer yesterday and I have the engine, trans and t-case.
Engine runs good, trans seems dead, don't know about the t-case.

I'd take $1500/obo for the whole lot.
Can ship via Fastenal, or deliver a couple hundred miles from 68321.

Also would trade for Cummins parts. :D

AMC WILL RISE AGAIN!!!

I'll probably need one of these for my Gremlin one day.

I do know of a Javelin, but I don't have the patience for a project.
If I did, I'd put a nicer truck together. :D

I don't, but I'd like one someday.

I almost had.one as my first car, looked at a few before finding my truck.

Hahaha, similar situation then. I've looked at a few as well, just bad timing so far.

My wife’s 1st car was a gremlin. We still have it. When my daughter was born in 84(kid # 2), we bought a pacer. Still have it too. Lol. It’s probably dead. Rusted out to bad to fix. The gremlin is still in good shape. I haven’t started it in 5 or 6 years. That might be a early summer project.

Do you still have the motor and trans?

Pictures? Guessing 6cyl car?

I love the sound of a straight 6cyl though! Almost to the point of giving up hp potential to keep the smooth sound!!

No, sold it a while back to a guy in Kansas, who was stuffing it in a Javelin.
He was pretty impressed at how nice it ran when I fired it up on the ground.

Occasionally I'll run across a 401 and it's one of those odd things I buy.
If I see a Jeep of that era, I pop my head under there and look for the "401" cast under the engine bracket, if it's there, it's usually in my truck within an hour or so.

They're just that odd thing I couldn't stand to see go in the iron.

Mark.

Thanks Mark. Guy that works with me has an AMX and I thought I might get it for him.
