Any disadvantages to mechanical lift pump?

Just curious if anyone can list any real disadvantages to having a mechanical lift pump, such as a Mitusa or Fuel Boss on the truck. Other than the extra belt on the front of the engine, I am coming up with no reason not to go this direction for more fuel.

Am I missing something?

one that I know of....

you can't use it if you have a Fluidamper installed. Although, I believe someone has made a kit to fix that... not sure. I think it may have been Opie ?
