Got around to installing my ATI SUper Damper today and I ran into a problem. The Fan hits the 6 12 Point 3/8 headed bolts that help hold the damper onto the hub that is supplied with the kit. Basically the whole bolt head needs to come off for it to clear.

Whats up? Did you guys who have installed these just left these out and relied on the other 6 bolts to hold it on? Or did I install it wrong or get the wrong one? It came in 3 peices + 16 bolts and 6 washers. Let me know thanks.

Nope you installed it right and its the right one. Me and Jflagg had the same issue. I installed two electric fans and jflagg i think is getting a ext piece machined to try and make the fan work.

Yup. the fan hits the heads of the 12 pt. bolts... I'm SUPPOSED to be getting an extension milled but my machinist is taking forever...

Also, I know they included 6 of those bolts, but I thought the instructions only said to use 3?

Thats true. But I figured 6 bolts, 6 holes... I felt safer knowing all the holes were plugged.

Guess I'll get my trusty die grinder out and notch the fan huh?

It would sure be nice if they let you know you would have to modify more crap to get the dumb thing to fit.

If you ever get the extension and it works out ok JFlagg let me know. Maybe I'll have them make another one for me. Thanks for your help guys. I guess the stock one is going back on for now.
