Balancer on rear axle???

brother threw out rear drive shaft and scared up the balancer on the rear axle. wanting to know what should be done like how badly it can get scared up before it really messes things up or how important it is in a DD.

it is a 2004 3/4ton chevy 6.6 dmax

i would change it out

does anyone know the importance of it weather it has to be on there or if the axle is balanced good enough if we can just eliminate it???oke:

ended up having to replace rear yoke and when you do so you have to replace the whole thing being they are built together as one unit.
