Band adjustment question

How far do i tighten (im assuming thats the right way to go to take up for wear) it before its too much? I know it depends on the wear but do i have to have it to where it feels tight or to where it feels snug?

usually you need to tighten to a specified torque and then back off a specified amount of turns.....

All the torque spec really is for is to make sure that you tighten it down snug. I can't tell you when the last time I pulled out an inch pound torque wrench to adjust the bands on a torqueflite was.

Tighten it down snug and back it off somewhere between 1.5 to 2.5 turns. Each trans likes things a bit different depending on how they were set up.
