basic improvements?????

I'm in the process of pulling my engine apart, but when I put it back together I want to make it as reliable as I can... What are some mods I can do? I'm not chasing high horsepower but something that makes it better than stock if that makes sense. For eg. stay away from certain rebuild kits, Rings, Bearings, anything useful. THANKS.

head studs obviously... what about a small cam? not for power but just for a better power band if you will

What would be a good small cam? I do tow trailers.

i wish i would have done my cam years ago. look up hamilton cams.

they have several street/ tow cams that help for power to come on sooner and lower egt's... not to mention a smoother running truck.
