I have a question for you. I am in Canada, my wife and I are looking at class A coachs right now. We hope to buy something at somepoint this winter. How would it work for a Canadian to buy from a US dealer? How do I arrange financing? Is there issues for bringing it back accross the border. Any other helpfull insight would be great.


What I am looking for is a nice home, dosent have to be new, but it has to be able to tow 10000 lbs. I want to tow my truck behind it on a trailer. So I am thinking a 400 cummins, or 350 cat, something like that. I just know that a 6.7 cummins or a durmax is not going to cut the mustard

I asked around and did a google search (importing an RV into canada) and it seems to be very popular for canadian's to purchase Coaches in the US and import them into canada. This site is a good resource for information about what is required for importing. Also, there are lots of forum's talking about this subject. As far as financing, my finance manager said most people that do this arrange there financing with there bank or other canadian banks.

The biggest appeal is US dealers do a lot more volume than Canadian dealers and are able to offer better prices.
