Best tar/sap remover

Damn the pine trees!


What do you guys like to remove the sap that is all over the truck now?

rubbing alcohol and a SOFT cloth so it wont scratch

I've used Goof Off, it works quite well... used it for pitch, road tar, and road paint... didn't seem to hurt the clear coat, but just in case try it in an area not visible... Welcome to the Goof Off Website

if the latter, ~10:1 water to lemon juice and a rag...

Race gas...a little bit on a rag and fresh sap will wipe right off, dried takes a little rubbing but race gas will take it off. I have huge norway pines in my driveway....I know how sap can suck. Fyi 91 octane won't do it, only 110+, I dunno why, but it does. Hasn't damaged the paint on any of my vehicles yet, it evaporates really quick. I usually wax the area after I clean it.
