This is a little something to check out. Cummins powered Pete. Check out the E.T. and MPH. The Pete weighs in at just under 14000 lbs. Pretty sure it'll be quicker this year. Not ready yet, but it'll be soon.

All that is required is a ton of money and very little common sense.
It will take more than a ton of money if you want to go really fast.

Locally, Dunkle has a 12V-71 running 14.30's and some old guy has an International conventional (the "Cornfield Cadillac") 12V-71 with an Allison in the 12's

My common sense tells me thats the motor to have to going fast

That's incredible! Wonder what kind of hp/tq it would lay down.

The way its tuned I would have to say it would burn up on a dyno. Doing the track math 14000 @ 105 mph comes out around 1250 on the ground.

By lack of common sense I did not mean that a 12v is not the way to go. Just a little on the crazy side to spend the kind of money it takes to go fast in a big rig. Also takes some large nuts.

I have one word for that Pete.....WOODDY!...oh, and maybe SCHWING!
That rocks. :rockwoot: He'd probably whoop my novice drag racin' rear end in my pickup. THAT is jammin' some gears!:cheer:
