Maybe to initial spoolup but max boost and flow comes from turbine torque.

Weight plays a role in max boost pressure, less mass allows a higher shaft speed with the same turbine flow, this is no secret.

but how do you lighten it ? Less blades, lower boost but more flow. Lower trim = higher boost, higher weight. Thinner blades, lower max rpm, lower max boost.

Not necessarily. Subtracting a blade and lightening the wheel can increase rotor speed, thus exit air velocity to the point where it can support higher pressure ratio then before. There are other ways of lightening the wheel without taking a blade as well.

Milled forgings are considerably stronger than cast, they are capable of higher rotor speeds without bursting.
