Hey guys. I just bought me a 05 ford f250 today. Question is, what's a good starting point for me to make good solid power. My last truck i had was a dodge with 621hp. I know nothing about fords at this moment. Could you guys help me out. What's a good programmer/tuner. I was looking at a ppe those any good? Thanks for the help.

SCT with custom tunes from one of the 6.0 specialists like Innovative, Truck Source Diesel, Gearhead, etc...

.

Thanks for all the input guys. Are fords bad for blowing head gaskets? Cuz I see everyone has headstuds even with not very many mods.

Head studs Egr del, sct tuner, 190cc-205 injectors s300 or even a s472. Will put you over 600.

Had a guy put our 190's in his 05 6.0 and with a s472 made 690rwhp backed up by 680rwhp on a different dyno.

600hp is fairly easy.

Do a coolant filter before its to late! I clogged my heater core when I put new heads on without a coolant filter!

If not already done here are the Necessities before you start with go fast mods on a 6.0

ARP head studs
OEM Gaskets
Heads pressure checked
Heads machined flat if need be
Egr delete, or ppl have luck with the Bulletproof EGR Cooler (depends on your areas smig restrictions)
New Oil cooler
Coolant filteration system
Have the intake manifold cleaned out
Have turbo cleaned out.
Update fuel pressure regulator spring (Blue Spring)
Install a fuel pressure gauge (anything below 50 psi WOT is a problem IMO)

Now you have a perfectly reliable 6.0 provided all work was done properly.
Then its time for go fast toys but the trans tends to not like anything north of 600 HP.

You should be able to get the necessities done at a shop for 4-$5,000

Ive recently been through all this so any questions feel free to PM, there are quite a few indicators that let you know if this work needs to be done pronto or if you can put some miles on her first.
