build pics - RCLB into a ECSB

Well after owning my truck since 07 it was time for a change. I didn't have much in the truck so I figure be cheap and do a complete change of looks with other items.

Before my truck was a RCLB which I consider very nice but it was getting rusty.

After doing that I decides to change it all up but with college and no fund its sat for a long time like this.

Finally after starting my new career I have been making progress on it again.

It now looks like this.

Body mounts are being made right now and waiting on my bed, which I'm getting this weekend. So I mocked up the front end.

Plans are a manual swap with a built 12v. Billet internal Dana 80 instead of the 70. New sheet metal and a few goodies.

All metal and axles I have already.

So what ya'll think?
 
From what I have gathered on it is that it's an extreme dimensions SRT hood. I found this one leaning up against a garage and guy wanted $40 for it. I drove fast to get it.

Fiberglass that is function able. Bought it last weekend. Needs some minor glass work done to it. I'm 23 and learning as I go. I build everything I have.

What color you going with? Should look great with the Sport conversion and that hood...and that will definitely be a short bed:hehe:

killer deal man, i love the hood and will be searching for one soon. Im also young and learning every day that goes by. (turning 21 wednesday) lol
 
Six and a half foot bed should fit just about perfect being they are the same length frames. Just different body mounts. Color I'm not sure on. Been debating on peterbuilt dark metallic burgundy, midnight ford blue, Cadillac white pearl, and copper.

It's just going to be a fun street truck with some drag racing. Looking to be around 1100-1200hp when said and done. Triple 66s with a 13mm and 5x.018s. Potentially the new aluminum head too. That's the main reason why I don't see being done for a while. Cause I over build it. I figure when said and done i won't have $20k in it. Been finding good parts cheap because I'm not rushing it.
 
I'm from Salem Ohio. Just east of canton.

Even if they are different I will make it all fit. I was looking at them and they looked to be very very close. 4in is easy to cut off LOL

Thanks for all the support guys. Now I just need my bed so I can mount everything. Honestly I don't know if they even made a ecsb 2500 diesel. Been lookin and only found 1500 gassers. Anyone ever seen one?

I like the change so far, keep the pics coming with updates. Pretty sure 'stroke this 07' is right on the wheel base, 3-4". Looks good so far.
