Cat fuel parts question

Having a issue with air in the fuel lines of my 3126b cat motor. After replacing the filters and getting the truck started it shut off. Checked the filters and they were pretty much dry. started checking other stuff and found that the air bleeder nut is striped out so i need a new filter base. I've also found out that I dont have a primer pump. I'm thinking this is due to this being a fleet truck and them not wanting renters messing with stuff under the hood.

I've googled around and I think this is the part list i need in order to replace the filter base and add a primer pump. Seeing if there is anything else I should be checking as well?

When you say "air bleeder nut" are you referring to the hex head plug on top of the filter base? What's your serial number prefix?
 
If the fuel lines are original replace them also. They can crack and suck air or suck shut and starve the engine.

correct.

i dont have my serial number on me. going to get as soon as I get into the shop.

And i was planing on replacing the hard plastic lines. Should i replace the hard metal lines?

Be sure your sitting down when they price you the new plastic fuel line. Good stuff but it will make the Parker store look cheap.:lolly:
