Cat killing turbo tractor

What a shame! The fuel was shut off, look at the color of the smoke, it was burning oil from sucking it past the turbo seals.
I had a 6.5 do the same thing only with no air shut off, it started to rev up on its own, turned the key off, and it just kept going.
Never heard a engine in my life turn so fast, must have been 8000 rpm when the valves started floating and mashing into the pistons.

Why didnt he just dump the clutch and kill it while it was still hooked to the sled?

Well if it was a crower or any weighted clutch it wouldnt have been turning fast enough to engage.

co2 fire extinguisher to the intake would have cured that pretty quick......

True on that thaut but most of the tractor pullers that run a slipper still have a clutch peddle all of the one that I have seen doo.I used to run a Crower in my mini and my buddy still has one in his rail if everything is set up wright you can push the clutch peddle all the way in and in gauge the clutch.
