Cheap Parts! Are they still good?

Wow, that's a sad sight! IMO it's stupid to destroy perfectly good engines just because of an emissions program, not to mention they're worth a lot more running than not.
 
Maybe instead of stimulus packages, the FED could give each of us 2 fully working 12 valve motors to repower all of our toys. Heck, they could even pitch in free #2 and still be money ahead.
 
i would say if you needed a head then yeah but block i would say are done for most likley a few windows. you could check them if the cylinder walls weren't hurt pour cement in the block and run it for a puller who needs coolant?

On a side note a friend of mine just called me from a local junk yard. He was looking at a '96 CTD with 186k miles and a great running engine. junk yard wanted $386 for the complete engine with fuel system. :rockwoot:

That just made a P-pump swap a little cheaper.
