bear with me im still green. what do all the plate loads stand for? i have a sbc 3850 but have no clue what it means.
thanks andy

Its the clamp load the pressure plate puts on the clutch disk(s) to hold it to the flywheel (or hold the disks and floater plate against the FW). The higher the plate load the more hp it will hold before slipping, and the stiffer the pedal will be.

Pretty sure all Haisley clutches use the same plate load as a stock clutch. After all night of pushing snow with a 3850 southbend my buddy is ready to sell his.

thanks guys i appreciate the replys. i have yet to buy the hydros for the clutch but i just now got it in (havent driven it yet) and i dont know how long i can last w/o hydros lol.

Have your buddy call and we can send him a much lighter plate load for that snow plowing.
