Compound turbo instead of a VGT

I have a buddy wanting to run a compound trbo instead of a VGT on his lmm. is it possible to do or can he just get a bigger VGT from somewere.

The vgt can be used in a compound set. The vgt can be removed and use two conventional turbos, or he can get a modified vgt.

there are a lot of companys that utilize the stock vgt and add on a bigger turbo, industrial injection caught my eye, but MPI and other companys are out there and good too.
