Connecting Rod Question

I bought some A1 connecting rod bolts because my old ones were stretching when I was torquing them. My question is, the manual says a final torque spec of 74 ft-lbs, and A1 recommends 90 ft-lbs. So should i torque them to 90 ft-lbs, or will the big end of the rod not be concentric anymore (i.e. do they need to be aligned honed to be torqued at 90 ft-lbs).

I don't have any plastigage to check the oil clearance but everything on the crank was mic'd and found to be within stock specifications so I went with stock bearing sizes. However, I have roughly .017" side play of the connecting rod that I measured with a dial indicator. Reason I say this is if i can torque them to 90 ft-lbs i think I would still have enough oil clearance.

Thanks for the help

Adam
