I've done tons of searching and reading about modified CR pumps, everyone keeping thier secrets for the most part lol

looking thru pictures of high end rigs, 1500hp pulling trucks, and have noticed 80% of the trucks I see have a larger than normal sized cascade valve. I know some of your 6.7 dodge pumps have a larger 19mm valve,

I guess my question is what would be the Pros to running the larger valve?
Or is the 6.7 pump a better design all together? Is that why I notice the larger valve?

I've seen these pumps with the larger valve on gale banks supercharged duramax, on the weihr triple pump/turbo duramax, and in random pics of stroker pumps.

Anyone wanna shed some light on the subject?

Not sure if a 6.7 pump design is any better to start as a base or not but I know they flow less than a 5.9 pump.

In regards to your comment about Wehrli custom fab triple pump setups, we use stock pumps or exergy sportsman cp3's on all of our triple setups. One special case we do have a 10mm RR pump and two stock pumps, only bc we had it readily available at the time.
