CPS for 466 and 530 will it work on a 7.3

bought CPS for my truck at international.(electrical parts non returnable) the head on it seems to be turned a few degrees so that it makes it very difficult to use on the 7.3. it interfears with the vibration dampner. Does anyone know if i can get it connected will it pose any problem for my engine. (timing or ?)

Do not use a CPS from a 466 on a 7.3,it will throw the timing off.
On the other hand you can use a CPS from a 444(7.3) in a 466 and it will advance the timing about 4 degrees.
 
thanks. i went back to international late yesterday and bought 2 of the right ones. i am using one and one in the glove box.
 
Whast international; getting for the CPS now? Napa sells them for $25.. Nice Drop in the last few years
