CRT billet valve bodies

If your not interested then whats with all the questions

uhhh i took it he wasnt interested in the trans brake portion of the valve body?? not that he wasnt interested in the valve body itself....

PS: you catch more flies with sugar than vinegar just sayin!

This, I'm interested in your valve body without trans brake, thanks.

I do offer a billet reverse manual ( no Brake ) with lock up in any forward gear, shift pattern is P R 1 2 3 4 ( NO NEUTRAL ) if neutral is a must, get the trans brake valve body and just dont use the trans brake when racing, how ever you will need to use the brake to back up the truck in Neutral. :thankyou2:

Lavon, are you looking toward street/track testing of this VB anytime soon ?

It's snowing in Ohio so I don't see that happening anytime soon. I would think this will be a 99% track use only vb. standard ones work really good for what there are doing already. Just my opinion

Perfect time for testing in the truck, could run through all the gears at full wheel speed and only move a couple feet! But itd probably be better to do simulated runs on the dyno I'm guessing.

We have a truck here that we are going to be putting our Pro Street transmission with the CRT vb in it for street testing as soon as the roads are clear from salt.

My opinion is if you are in interested in the valve body, and NOT the trans brake, I would still opt for the Trans brake equip valve body so you have neutral. Then you only use the trans brake switch to engage reverse.

Remember that for this valve body to work to its full potential, you need to build the transmission accordingly. Machining the pump stator support for a larger 3rd gear direct drum apply (I'll attach pic), 15 springs in the direct drum return piston (sold by CRT), drilling a 030 vent hole in the outside corner of the drum under the piston (to allow faster direct clutch release when using trans brake), and the correct billet front and rear servos with the correct spring rates to avoid 2/3 bind up issues associated with the significantly higher volume.

Once we get street testing in, we'll post feedback.

Sugar, carbonated water... And that's it. Lol.

Could you explain the pump stator mod for larger 3rd gear direct apply?

this mod only works with a true manual valve body that shifts off the manual valve, if your manual valve body still uses moving valves, check balls, and and or shift solenoids this mod will give you a bad 2-3 over lap. It can only be done with a true reverse manual valve body. Now, how many of you have one? When you buy my valve body you set instructions on how to set up the trans.

Trans builder and sales guy rolled in one!

That's a rare find for many shops these days.

"Coffee' s for closets"!

CRT,
Are there any diesel trucks currently running this valve body with success?

That's why I'm awaiting Lavons street/strip results...

These stator mods for 3rd/direct apply have been around for quite a while, pretty much every flavor/brand of transbrake 727 FMVB calls for this stator mod to help open up the feed path in and out of 3rd/direct drum, 15 return springs, and a 062" bleed hole. These mods aren't required to make the transbrake operate, they do seem to speed up the release.

How does the cooler circuit function? In Lavon's video, the gauge for the cooler circuit doesn't move until the converter lock circuit is activated, then it's at line pressure. Will the cooler line need some sort of restrictor to knock down the pressure?

....First thing back from a couple year hiatus and I come across this awesomeness!

This is a Link to a video I made for the custom shifter I had built by Brian Kilduff. I plan on using this valve body in my toy that I Daily drive but personally don't like the idea of a trans brake on a 6800 lb pickup.

I wired up this shifter so it can automatically go into reverse when in R/N then automatically disengage the brake when shifted into any other gear but R/N. I also wired in an interrupter switch between the power and the built in roller switch this way when I want neutral I can flip the locking switch and the Trans brake wont have power. I also wired in a Momentary off switch (N.C) style switch this way when I'm shifting from P->1 The TB doesn't engage then disengage fast. Figured it would be easier on parts.

Let me know if this link doesn't work for you guys. Sorry for the poor camera work. Hard to do everything one handed.
