Cummins Daily Driver project

2 part clear gel coat. I use it on filet boards at work. Seals the wood, glass appearance and fairly tough.

Would this be like West System's clear epoxy? I have some left over from a prior project and would love to repurpose it.

I ended up using clear 2-part fiberglass epoxy. It looks great IMHO.

I can't seem to MIG anything any more. Mostly because there aren't any BB's inside the piping when I'm done.

Stainless Keg fuel tank with a mild steel filler neck. Thanks to tips from CompD I turned down the amperage for stainless and went with a larger alumina cup.

Until I got to the -8AN bungs, it went well. The bungs looked like they were raw steel, but they were definitely coated in something.

The battery is wired and mounted. 0.000amp draw with the door closed. :woohoo:

FUEL KEG!!! LOL

Definitely keeping it rat rod. I plan on clearing over the rust on the cab. It took 65 years for it to be this perfect, I'd hate to ruin the look.

In other news... With a little AGCO ether plus leftover 4+ year old 'red fuel' and it starts & runs!!! I got all that fuel out of the system and it was much happier with the fresh stuff from the Shell down the street.

I want to see this whole build but only half the pictures will load. What the crap? From what I've seen and read it looks sweet.

That's awesome! Can't wait to see the finished product.

And that keg is pretty BA!

I am seriously starting to think our fathers have some explaining to do. I had the same damn idea for a keg sitting in my shop. Where did you find the cap?

I have two kegs and i was going to go with saddle tanks, but I could't fit them up high enough. This way it was very easy to prime. :D

Cap was from http://coyote-gear.com/ $20 vented with the filler neck.

Joel gave me a used bin cleanout auger to use for the stack. I think it fits the theme.

Bled the coolant system, topped off the transmission fluid and drove down the street. At night it looks really cool. The bride approved it and we're good to go Saturday!
