Anybody ever seen this done? I just picked up a 58 or 59 (not sure) cab and fenders from a buddy. Thing has been sitting in the Texas sun for the last God only knows how many years. The plan is to either drop it on a 1st or 2nd gen 4wd frame with a 12v/nv4500. Should be fun. Now I just need to find out how to get it home to Ohio all the way from Texas:doh:

Its been done...a lot actually. Post pics of the fenders.

Just so you know, I'm not as smart as I think I am.

Friend of mine is building one right now. Look up Mitchell Peterson on Facebook. He's an admin in the Cummins forum group

Three guys on here are working on theirs as well.

You could come through TN with it and maybe it would fall off the trailer......

This has been my dream project for a while. 1958 Chebby body on a 94-98 Dodge 4X4 frame.

I also know where a 1956 GMC Dually has been sitting in a barn for 20 years. I've been thinking of trying to get it and put it on a 4x4 dually frame.

I'm planning on making this one a dually. Either leaving the sun beaten rust look on the cab and fenders with a black flatbed or paint it red with an aluminum flatbed and all aluminum MT Classic 2 style wheels and a set of Nitto Mud Grapplers

Here's the pics of the truck as it sits now. Whoever had it before took the axles and torched the frame off and just set it on the ground.

Awesome, there will be a cut tire '58 Apache pulling this summer! ;-). I can't wait to get the body mounted & painted....

Hood and fender emblems. Mine is a 59 (but has 56 front sheet metal)....also, you should be able to get the 6bt in there without cutting a huge hole in the firewall like I did. the radiator is further forward on the 58-59 than the 55-57, making for a bit more room to squeeze it in.

it will fit
