Any ideas on why the valve cover of an QSX15-A450 motor would leak oil out the end really bad? About 2 gallons a day. My nieghbor bought a new gasket for it, but I think there is a problem that is causing this. The oil pressure dropped to about 16 psi yesterday which seems low to me. Could this be a clogged crank case breather or a worse issue?

Yeah could be bad. Could also be a candidate for an updated valve cover for the X engines. Get me an Engine number and then we will know Fo' Sho'.

I'll call and check status on thier findings. If they ain't got any new ideas, I'll post up the number. It is downstairs and I'm tired. :hehe: Thanks. I'll go check it out.

Im running 2 of the qsx 15's, 450 hp in quad tracs, 3700 hrs + on em. both idle about 38 psi, you got somthin going on there that aint good

yea make sure valve cover is not cracked from being installed to tight and in the wrong torque steps and everyone i have seen leak from the valve cover has had tons of blow by good luck
