Cutting Frame

My truck is 05 Reg cab 4x2 long box. I am looking for information on cutting
frame to make short box. I have seen pictures of cut 2nd gen,s their frames
are single rail. Because mine is boxed rail I would like to talk to someone
that has done it, I have the short box and gas tank from 1500 truck.
I need help.

I hear these frames are tempered. If you cut it with saw and mig it back together it should hold fine. As far as angles of cutting I do not know that. Contact megacablongbed. Com they lengthen frames. I'm sure they know how to shorten them aswell

I e-mailed them and asked if I could buy a couple of sleeves to go
over rails after I cut and weld. Then I would weld sleeve in place.
I was hoping someone had done this and could give me some pointers.
