Hate to beat this subject (again), but DO 6.7 injectors work with a 5.9 ECM?

I've now seen two fellas on here say they work without issue, but then two with standalone ECM's had to bump up the voltage supplied (or something) to the injectors in order to fire them. And others seem to have had issues with the stock ECM.

This seems to be the biggest unknown topic in the CR Cummins arena, and two report no issues and 10 others say they don't work? So which is it?
 
There are two local trucks that have 06 ecm and wiring harnesses running 6.7 injectors and make good power without a hickup or issue.
 
Injectors should physically fit all years from 03-12, both 5.9 and 6.7.

I say should, because for whatever reason, my 5.9 (03) injectors wouldn't seat fully in the 6.7 (07) head.


Mainly I'm tired of these 5.9 injectors going out; I hear of FAR fewer 6.7 injector issues than 5.9, in fact I can't remember the last time I heard of any. Although, I don't believe this set of remans in my 07 is the newer body material.

If 6.7 injectors are that much better and could run fine, that'd be great
 
Haven't personally done it, but have talked to people running a 06 5.9 ECM and harness on a 6.7.
