Dertoit locker experience

I have/had one in my truck. It was great, till it broke. Like previously mentioned, when the shaft broke, it whiped out the locker. I would have rebuilt it, but the parts needed to replace it would cost nearly $500, and the bad thing is eaton didnt have one of the gears and they couldnt give me a date on when they would run them again. On the brighter side of things, it worked great for 2 years, probably 30 hooks and 5,000 miles.
 
what is the price on a Detroit locker for a Dana 80? Can u get one for 3.54 gears? Where can I pick one up?
 
I think you have to buy one for a D70HD and drill the ring gear bolts out.

You are correct....that's what's in mine.......sucky thing is it voids the warrenty on it odviously. Oh well hopefully by the day I kill mine it won't be daily driven anymore and I can go full spool.
