Anyone modded their stock intake? Started thinkin because my last truck was a '00 F150 and when I bought it it had a K&N. The previous owner had drilled nines holes in the top about 3-4 inches in diameter. Got me thinkin if that was a good thing, was there anything similar i could do to my truck or if anyone had done anything similar.

I know that is a mod done on the Older 7.3l SD's, I don't see a reason why it couldn't be done to the 6.0l

the stock box flows enough cfm that you really dont have to do anything to intake, with putting an aftermarket on it or not, I have a stock box with an afe drop in filter. and i removed the front cover, thats it. "zoodad" mod thing or whatever

Your stock intake is plenty good. You don't need to do anything to it.

So I hear just thought id check to see if i needed/could get more airflow. But after all the feedback and previous threads that time and money I wont throw away. thanks to all
