So I bought a belt at work to bypass the a/c compressor, but the belt now rides with the ribbed side on the tensioner, which has a smooth pulley. i couldnt find a listing for a ribbed pulley for a 12 valve, all my books show smooth pulley. Will it work to run it this way, or what am i suppost to do?

And yes i had the belt routed the right way.

Also since im putting on electric fans and removing the mechanical fan, is there a belt that i can use to remove the fan pulley/ braket along with the a/c compresor? or do i have to leave it there as a "idler"?

99 - 03 ford 7.3 diesel has a ribbed pully that should work--- 3" i believe $15

I was told this is a cummins part number and it should work...let us know! 3936213

i run it with the ribs running on my tensioner and have for thousands of miles NEVER had a problem lmk

tell me about it, went to dual cp3's and the belt for that comes from a ford application..........

that dayco pn is a nice steel ribbed pulley. i will get one just because now..
