looking for a set of gears for drag truck have 95 2wd with dana 70 narrowed 33x21.50 tires any leads would be appreciated wanting a 3.21 cant find a supplier wanted 3.07 but only w the 70u diffs :bang

I have a complete 3.07 D71 for sale. Its on the floor in this pic.

You can only run 3.07's in the D71 they don't work in a 70 housing. 3.54 is the highest I've seen for the 70U.
 
So your running the Gm version? I'm guessing 35 spline axles? Did you convert to 5 lug or stay 8? Either way neither the 3.07 or 3.21 gears are made anymore and you will have to find a used set. I've never seen a 3.21 just read about them on line.
 
You have confused me. The factory rear under a 95 is a 70U and the 70HD was found under GM trucks.
 
Could be I run build material number thought it said hd but might have miss read it

With 3.54 gears and an OD trans, 4,000rpm would be 158mph, how fast do you want to go? My axle with 3.07 gears is just a regular Dana 70u, not an HD, not sure if those gears will work in an HD, but they might.
 
not a dana 60 but a dana 61 they make a 2.91, 3.00, 3.21. I have a complete dana 61 at my shop that I used to run in my truck that has a 3.00 gear in it. The gears in a 60 and 61 are different.
 
3.07 were ofset 1/4 in because so high a ratio discontinued in 94 trucks mines a 95 dana 70
