In the last month or so i put a new larger turbo on my truck and yesterday i hooked up my drive pressure gauge and at 50 psi of boost i have 40 psi of drive pressure. from what i can see i dont have any exhaust leaks and the charge system holds 50 psi with no leaks. so ideas as to why is the drive pressure so much lower than the boost pressure???

Mine does this at various points and under various loads. tuning can drastically change drive pressure. This at WOT? What rpm? What charger?

not at wot,rpm is at 26 to 2700 and the charger is a s472 only tuner is a old bullydog set to towing,

that sound about right I suppose. Be careful of surge.
yes very careful i am going to have to pull the trans and get the convertor stall changed in order to get rid on some of the bottom end smoke.

If you can handle the boost tighten the top gate down till 1 to 1. What I've seen is that till then the air temp will not increase that much, after 1 to 1 is goes down hill fast......you will be at 1 to 1 about 55 or so, my HX40-16/3B-26 is 65 drive at 60 psi.
