Dumb tappet cover seal question...

I have a 98 12v in for a tappet cover gasket. Customer supplied parts (OEM cummins) but I have a dilemma. The cover came off with fiber gaskets, rubber gaskets and steel "cup" washers. QSOL shows it only has the thin washers, that's all the customer got.

Anyone know if I am good to go with just the thin washers? I feel like a moron, and I do NOT want to do this a second time.
