I recently pulled my E7M Mack out of my workboat. The engine is rated for 650HP @2300rpms.The engine has a mechanical Bosch P-pump.I run the engine at 1300rpms. I would like to turn the pump down 20% or so. Would this be hard to do? Would I have to modify the pump with diffrent plungers ,etc.? I got 22,250hrs on the engine and it ran great when I pulled it out. I bought the same E7M Mack out of a sportboat 2 years ago, I just installed it this week. I would like to send my pump and old injector lines to schied and get them to freshen up the pump and make me a new set of lines.I know that generally we dont talk much about boat diesels, just thought I would throw it out there....
 
That's cool. I drive Mack truck with that engine. There only rated for 400hp. They have no balls thou they cut out alot to keep from smoking.
 
There are not a lot of people even know they put Mack motors in boats.
 
650 horse?! sweet Jesus. a set of smaller injectors would also derate power for you.
