ECM Swap

I have a 12 that had bad ecm. I swapped in a 10(or 11 have to dbl ck). I changed the vin of the 10 ecm to match the truck vin. It now starts and runs but trac. control light on and trans in limp, stuck in 4th. My question is can I successfully make this ecm work with my Pass-Thru? Ive done the PCM replace routine and also tried to reflash but it only gives me options for 2010 flashings. Thanks.

Hello:
Can I ask what happened to your original ECM? I have a '12 3500 DRW with electronic throttle valve issues. From what I have found on Techauthority, they do NOT support a full ECM / PCM reflash via j2534, the way you are doing it. Chrylser forces you to use a Witch to do this type of flash. You need to find a way to rom boot the ECM so you can flash with the correct part number for the year engine you have. Hope that helps.

Truck would not turn over. That is what I was afraid of. I am new to all the programming.
