Existing twin setup w/ stock turbo?

Is there an existing twin setup that works with a stock turbo for an early '04 common rail? My buddy is running the II Silver Shaft 64, and all the goodies to support it @ 52 psi boost. There's just too much lag for good fuel economy and drivability, so we were hoping to buy a bolt on kit utilizing the stocker for the high pressure, and II 64 for the low pressure.

I think the early 04 is the same as the hy35. It probably can be done but a external wastegate might be in order. You might be able to open up the wastegate enough I'm not sure. The hy I just took off of the 01 choked real bad around 25 to 2700. I think mpi uses the later turbo.

yes but it is still a custom kit--
He wants to reuse the silver 64 as the bottom turbo and use a stocker on top.

I build kits like that all the time. The 03-04 is a HE341w and yes a good porting or external gate is needed. the silver 64 is a touch small for a primary but will work ok. you'll need to use a 2nd gen manifold too.
