Been doing some searching on how a fire ring should seat in the "grove" and haven't had luck with an answer to my question. Reason I ask is the new rings I bought have a slight amount of shift to them if I apply pressure to one side or the other. The I.d. of the ring I ordered is said to be a 4.350 however measures slightly bigger than that. I placed the head on the motor with the gasket and rings in place and the head I can feel shift if I press on the east and west sides of it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I called the folks that I purchased from and spoke to the tech and he said that's common..
