I have done many of them and have multiple friends that drive ford cummins. They are awesome! If you do the swap to where everything still works factory, you will be more than happy with the conversion. I get 20-21 mpgs in town and 23-24 on the highway, have plenty of power, and its super easy to work on.

Thanks man... pics of your work? Where are you from jcarrick?
just got the wife a 2nd gen and she hinted she wanted her old 2002 crewcab superduty back... catch her hint hint

I've done several in superduty trucks, cant comment on how the OBS swap goes. Taking the time to make the dash and accessories work is the make or break part of the whole thing. Plan on the thing taking a month of weekends if you get all the parts before you start.

Wiring my 24v was easy, I just sent both Harnesses off to DCS and they put them together. plus doing it this way provides me with the Diag plug so i can use a tuner and check DTC

I know I love mine. Sure beats the 6.0 it had in it, lol.

I've done two OBS trucks with 12 valves. I love my fords but like stated before, the cummins is so easy to work on and relatively cheap to modify that you can't go wrong. I used both E4od's and they hold up well to the torque with a tugger kit and a good torque convertor. I used fordcummins for most of my stuff, destroked for the PCS and I strongly recommend fordcummins, far better support.

Only other one I have on this phone

And since I wanted people to know it has a cummins in and and a big C was out of the question. I put a 10" stack under her.
