Before I go through the hassle of getting everything to work with the engine outside of the truck. Has anybody tried fitting a he431ve on a 24v in a 99-07 superduty?
 
That turbo is just a VGT version of an HX40. The turbine wheel likes to break off from the shaft when they get hot (poor friction welding quality).

Best avoided unless its got the Titanium wheel. The HE451Ve is a better turbo.
 
Sure looks like a titanium wheel to me. But I could be wrong. Ill have to take s picture.
