Headstud Questions

I'm about to install ARP headstuds on an 2003 6.0L and was wondering if I should us a buttom tap? If so where could I get one and does anyone have any tips to make this job a little easier?
 
I didn't use a tap I just cleaned the holes put with brake clean and then a blow gun

I installed the studs dry a d only used the ultra torque lube on top where the nuts are

Have the head milled and true the block with a straight bar and sand paper. Factory machining is aggressive.
 
I didn't use a bottom tap on my 6.0 either. I just cleaned the threads well and threaded the studs in by hand and then lossened them a 1/4 turn.
 
Awesome guys thanks for the help i already have my studs and my valve cover is starting to leak so hopefully i can get this done soon!
