high idle?

does volkswagen have a high idle available? i believe its an 03 or 05 jetta tdi?
my sister moved from tuscaloosa to washington state and i was wanting to her to get the high idle done if they have it available?:badidea:

No, VW do not use high idle, becuse with TDI it does not create as much heat to keep engine warm.


In cold climats VW use extra diesel heater (like Webasto or Eberspraher) to heat cooling system.

In my VW bus I have extra 5KW Webasto diesel heaterfor cooling system.


In user manual is warning (for cold temperature): do not let engine run in idle more than 5 min , it might damage the engine!!
