As long as you dont launch it in 4wd. Of course, most companies will not warranty a converter after you break the stock input shaft and tear it up.... Sometimes takes out the pump too.

Do yourself a favor and buy some billet.
 
my stock input went on a 01 that dynoed out at at like 420 and it went at like 70mph at wot when it shifted into overdrive.
 
I have a lil smoke till 40-50mph with light throttle. After that its fine unless I lug it. Then its just plain nasty till I let up or down shift.

I live at sea level with 100% humidity.

I think its street able with common sense.
