How fast can I spin a CP3?

I'm gear driving a CP3 on an old Detroit 2 stroker, or at least I want to. I'm constrained to a a 2:1 gear ratio with the crank, and my design RPM for the engine is 3750. That means I'm going to be running the CP3 at 7500 RPM. Granade? Anyone spun one until it floated the plungers? Or is that what they do with a closed FCA anyway?

Is there any way to belt drive it like on a dual cp3 kit?

I could, I've just already made the adapter and gears to fit it in place of the governor. If I need to I'll belt drive it.

Its been done.. Relentless diesel did alot of testing with good results but life of the pumps where an issue iirc.. Shane at wicked diesel sells a hyperdrive kit i believe or did..

I had found that article before, I wonder how fast he really twisted it? I may have to give him a call.

They drove it 2x as fast iirc.. You wont have much luck getting him on the phone he is a one man operation.

It seemed like the cp3's were falling apart when driven so hard. Drag racers were starting to under driving them so they would hold up.
