How many miles out of a 7.3 ???

proper maintenance and regular care, you can easily get 300K and even higher...if you take care of it...i'm already at 245K on stock motor and haven't had to replace anything major (knock on wood)
 
My first engine was not properly maintained (previous owner) and only lasted ~180,000.

My dad's 94 has around 260,000 on it. Though he has been through two turbos, a half dozen CPS's, and at least one water pump, maybe two. I know a few other things too, but I can't remember them all...
 
I've been told this by a Ford diesel tech of 20+ years: "If you don't see 400,000 miles, you did something wrong."

I say take good care of it and it's easily possible. I know several trucks that have surpassed 350K.
