How much timing

how much timing will a HO engine handle without sprying out of the bowl?
 
I think its usually around 23-24 degrees. Of course that depends on the angle of the spray pattern of the injectors too.
 
ok i will have to call ddp and ask about the spry angle on their 150s thats wut i will be runing. also wut if i get thinner copper washers this will also change timing right?
 
Yea thinner washers would allow you some more timing. I dont know how much though. Maybe somebody with all the specs like smokem will chime in.
 
from experince, i have had mine set a 23* and had good luck when its warm but i hav blown 2 gaskets in 2 winters so this time i am going to set it around 19
 
I thought i read somewhere on here that your timimng retards a few degress by the time it gets to the injectors. -scott
