Questions on HX 40

Measurement on compressor

All the different exhaust measurements(wheel,housing,etc..)

Which would be the best size to be comparable to an 62/65/14.

I've only read of:
57mm, 58mm & 60mm compressor wheels.
65mm turbine wheel
16cm2, 19cm2 and I think I saw Saul (eBay) selling one that had a 21cm2 housing.

I chose not to use an HX40 to avoid lag and possible shaft trouble, maybe someone using one can offer a more useful opinion.

I'll say this, even though the turboshaft is not beefy, I had great fun with a PDR HX40/16 with a wg-ed housing.....

They are a great turbo for the money IMHO

if youre going for a HX40 get a 6 blade compressor and a 16 exhaust housing. Thats the best one, and dont over boost it(45psi max!) or bark it and it will last.

40k miles on my old pdr hx40 and it was pretty good miles, i had 35s and 3.54 gears and about 400 hp, it was a bit narrow power banded but did good.

6 blade was avaible on 58 and 60mm.i have one of each.the 58 came off a volvo something.got it on ebay used. the turbo says holset hx40w but has volvo cast into the compressor housing.also hos bolt on style downpipe instead of the 4" vband
