hx55 with hx50 exhaust housing

got a good deal on a new hx55, it has a 22cm housing with a 5inch outlet. i have a junk hx50 with a 17cm gated housing. i have been hearing about people running 50 housings on 55's the first problem i see is the 55 has v band clapms, and the 50 is bolted on like a hx35 or a s300. can i get some more info on this??

Best you can hope for is a Pro52 or HX52 16cm nongated housing to use with the hx55 as it's got the v-band clamp like the hx55. The 55's work good on N14's.
