Hydraulic steering question

Electric over hydraulic is the way to go. An old lift gate motor and pump works well. Or go to Northern Hydraulics and buy a new motor and pump. Then get an orbital valve from a forklift or tractor.
If you are lazy call up Proformance Pro's, they have complete setups.

Just like everyone is saying go to northern tool get the pump and plum it into your stock steering box is what most people I know do then going all out. And make sure to turn the pressure down some on the pump or will break the steering box I have heard

Take your box off, drill and tap in similar locations, and then use a ram off the axle. The pump setup is your choice. I use the biggest drop in AGR pump they make, but I'm not trying to squeeze every last drop of HP like you guys.
And that 2.5 double ram is pretty big unless you're doing full hydro. If you're doing hydro assist, I'd run something a bit smaller, or you lose responsiveness.
If you're only going 300ft you'll be fine, but if you're driving this on the street too, toss a filter head on. It's keep it clean, and help with heat from the extra line and going through the filter.
